SpaceFounders is excited to announce our investment in Skynopy, the French NewSpace startup transforming how satellites connect to the ground. Founded in late 2023 by Pierre Bertrand and Antonin Hirsch, Skynopy has developed a hybrid network of high-throughput ground stations, combining its own deployments with third-party infrastructure from Amazon Web Services and Kinéis. This approach allows for real-time data downlink and high-bandwidth connectivity, providing satellite operators with a flexible and cost-effective alternative to traditional ground stations.

As part of Batch #5 of SpaceFounders' accelerator program, Skynopy has benefited from the resources and connections SpaceFounders provides, including mentorship, strategic guidance, and access to a strong European space network. Building on this foundation, the company has successfully raised €15 million in funding from Alven, Expansion, Omnes, and CNES, alongside existing investor Heartcore. This capital will enable Skynopy to expand its global ground station network, meeting the growing demand from Earth observation and other satellite constellations.

We are proud to continue supporting teams like Skynopy, whose innovative solutions strengthen Europe’s position in the space industry. By investing in their vision, we aim to accelerate their growth and contribute to the development of more efficient and accessible satellite connectivity worldwide.
